I know we get to keep up to seven guys, but how does that work next season? Do we just automatically get to draft them...this is my first time in a keeper league so I am a little uneducated on this works. thanks!

Basically, Yahoo doesn't allow keeper leagues so I think we should use our first 7 picks on our keepers and post them in here before the next draft begins?

That's what I was thinking, but what scares me is if we do a live draft again, people don't always show up and Yahoo usually drafts the highest ranked player...I guess one way to get around that would be to conduct the draft on the boards or everyone preranks their players with their top 7 keepers.

a max of 7(offense or pitching...but must have at least 2 pitching and 2 batters)...ive decided that we will have the draft on J&P so it will make it easier...then i can just submit the results and ull have ur players...please look at the pool regarding picks.

I think at the end of the year, or before each season, we need to apply monetary values to each player...Every team should have a payroll of (lets say $270...that is the number between $260 for AL leagues and $280 for NL Leagues)...for example, if you want to keep Pujols it will cost you $37, etc. We should be able to keep up to 11 players (we can change that to whatever everyone agrees on)...then we can have an auction draft for next season on the board...Tilor we may want to discuss in more detail. If you have any suggestions please let us know.

Yeah. I think it works better from a keeper stand point. I am an a keeper league on sportline and can get the values of players from them for next season. It is an NL only league, but I believe I can obtain the values for AL players as well. Also, you can play free fantasy baseball on sportsline and we may want to consdier using them..since they allow you to reserve minor league players (im not positive that yahoo does). We have plenty of time to figure this out, but I am very excited about putting things together and making the league enjoyable for everyone.

this will add a new challenge to the league...u may not be able to afford certain players, so maybe there will have to be off-season trades (pre=draft) to not waste young talent. anyways guys stay active on the site and during the pool, if anyone doesnt stay active, im sure we will be able to find a replacement for next year.
